Otvoreni protest fudbalskom Savezu Grčke i N/FS BIH

Dear ladies and gentlemen,

We feel the need to state our attitude towards the public statement made by the Greek Football Association, regarding the hideous and monstrous scenes which have taken place during the match Greece – Bosnia and Herzegovina in Athens.

A letter of apology containing a photo in which you compare the flares during the goal celebration to the banner which glorifies the biggest genocide in Europe after the Second World War and which offends the victims, and an entire nation, we consider unacceptable and extremely insolent! This letter is perceived as yet another major provocation and an insult equally disrespectful as banners raised on the stands. It is a mere reflection of your honor, gentlemen. You are trying to identify the right wing extremists and nationalists with genuine fans.

Our flares did not insult anyone, and it is, whether you like it or not, a part of the Ultras supporters world.

In this letter we also address B&H Football Association and all institutions dealing with this problem to strongly condemn events like this, and find a solution for these problems, as this is not happening for the first time. During the last qualifying cycle at the same stadium, we have witnessed the same scenes and banners. We demand the most rigorous punishment both for those who are responsible for such events, and the organizer of the abovementioned sports event. Such dreadful scenes and outbursts of nationalism at stadiums should not be happening, nor repeating.

We will not, and cannot be silent when faced with such provocations. We shall react in our own typical manner, as supporters, regardless of the costs and consequences. If we have to choose between the result and sport, and our dignity and pride, we will choose the latter.
